Joe Biden held his first official press conference on Thursday, and it didn’t take long for things to go off the rails.
While taking questions from the six, pre-selected reporters allowed in the room, Biden said the U.S. should return to the type of filibuster that existed “when I came to the Senate 120 years ago.”
Biden is 78-years-old. He did not join the U.S. Senate 120 years ago.

During a report on Fox News with anchor Brett Baier, network correspondent Peter Doocy revealed that Biden apparently had no idea on Wednesday afternoon that he has planning to do a press conference.
“Somebody shouted out to Biden ‘how are you getting ready for your press conference’ and he said: ‘what press conference?’” Doocy reported.
Biden is hosting his first press conference on Thursday, and according to Doocy, he didn’t even know it.

Biden announced on Wednesday that he is putting Kamala Harris in charge of addressing the migrant surge at the U.S.-Mexico border.
But one of the more memorable moments came when he clumsily didn’t know what he was doing and had to ask someone what he needed to do next while the media was in the room at the White House before a meeting on the border crisis.
Biden stared strangely into the camera on-and-off for many seconds before a staffer yells: “It’s time for the press to leave.”

The first two months of 2021 have seen more border encounters by CBP than in corresponding months of any of the past three years.
There were over 100,000 border encounters in February.
The Biden administration’s border crisis has gotten so bad that even CNN is calling them out for it.
An explosive report last week revealed children detained in an overcrowded government-run tent facility at the US-Mexico border say they haven’t been able to shower for days or contact their parents.
Some children get to shower about once a week and sometimes soap runs out, with only shampoo available, she said. One child told Welch she hadn’t showered in six days.
Things are so bad that Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is asking DHS staff to “volunteer” to help deal with what he conceded was an “overwhelming” number of migrants at the border.
Earlier this week, Democrat West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin broke from Biden and called the migrant surge a crisis that needs to be fixed.
“Whatever message was sent — it was sure interpreted the wrong way,” he said. “It’s a crisis — oh it’s a crisis.”
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell also did not mince his words this week when discussing Biden’s handling of the crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border — and he’s laying the blame on Democrats.
During an interview on Fox News, McConnell flat-out said that Biden “owns” the border crisis, and that, “It is, by definition, an emergency.”
“My definition of a crisis is when you send the Federal Emergency Management Agency, which only goes to emergencies, down to the border,” McConnell said.
“It is, by definition, an emergency. This administration walked away from the policy of the previous administration (which) was able to negotiate with the Mexican government, where people are detained on the other side of the border,” he added.
